The mad, the bad and the ugly: potholes from around the world

Singapore saw one of its most bizarre traffic accidents last week when a stationary car appeared to “bury” itself headfirst into the ground along Keppel Road.

Water started gushing around the car and the driver was able to escape safely.

It later emerged that a water pipe had leaked underground, causing a sinkhole underneath the unfortunate driver’s car.
