The Windows 8 operating system is worlds apart from its predecessor. Microsoft says it was built from the ground up, and reviewers and consumers are talking about as more of a new system than an upgrade. After all, it features a beautiful and personalizable tiled interface, downloadable games, a host of apps and greater connectivity.

While Win 8 offers a whole spread of new features, not all users are taking to them right away. And in a market flush with rival products, it remains to be seen if consumers will be willing to re-learn how to use Windows in order to access its benefits.
