Following an exceptionally eventful US Presidential debate between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney last week, the Vice-Presidential debate took centre stage earlier today. The event took place in Danville, Kentucky, where Vice-President Joe Biden went head-to-head with Republican VP nominee Paul Ryan, along with ABC's Martha Raddatz as moderator.

The heat generated from the debate spilled over online, with many watchers taking to Twitter with excitement, dismay and amusement as the debate progressed.
