Twitter index: Windows 8, 'Iron Man 3'

The highly anticipated Windows 8 operating system from Microsoft is due to launch on October 26. Version 8 sees Windows getting one of the most dramatic makeovers in its history, making use of a selection of colored touch-centric (where applicable) tiles from which users can launch programs and does away with the "classic" Windows features.  

Also causing a buzz is the latest trailer from Iron Man 3, which premiered on YouTube on October 22. The trailer gives more images of Robert Downey Jr. in his third incarnation as Iron Man and even a quick glimpse of the film's villain, The Mandarin.Iron Man 3 is expected to hit the big screen in 2013. Twitter users are also discussing the rumored iPad Mini which, despite a lack of confirmation from Apple, is expected to be unveiled at an event held by the company on Tuesday.
