The United States Postal Service, abbreviated to USPS, has announced that, from August, it will be suspending Saturday deliveries due to cost-cutting measures. The news of this change in policy has pushed "USPS" into eighth position.

Also in the USA Twitter users are buzzing about the ESPN 150 signing of top pick American football player Robert Nkemdiche. The signing has caused the university to trend in tenth place under its nickname "Ole Miss".

Elsewhere on Twitter microbloggers are celebrating Wednesday and being halfway through the working week by trending "Happy Hump Day," a reference to the idea the Wednesday represents the "hump" of the week and once one is over the "hump" Thursday and Friday are "downhill' or easier to struggle through.
