Twitter index: Ke$ha drops 'Die Young,' Packers debacle causes outrage

After teasing fans for several months, Ke$ha took to the airwaves to finally unveil her latest single, "Die Young," from her forthcoming album Warrior. Ke$ha fans are trending "Die Young" in seventh position and reaction to the track is generally positive. "Die Young" will be available to download from digital providers on September 25.

Also trending is American football team the Packers. The NFL is currently going through a referee lockout due to disputes over money, and as a result the NFL has drafted in replacement referees. One of these referees was in charge of the Packers vs. Seahawks game on Monday, September 24, and made a controversial decision that gave the Seahawks the win in the closing second of the game. Believing the game to be over, players of both teams then left the field and in some cases began giving interviews before being called back on for the Seahawks' attempt at kicking the extra point. 

The controversy surrounding the decision has led many social media users to call for an end to the referee lockout.
