Twitter index: Australia Day, Mercy Johnson features on 'Aboki' remix

Australia Day, celebrated on January 26, is the national day of Australia. The event, marked with numerous cultural events and private parties, marks the arrival of the so called "First Fleet" of ships that set sail from Great Britain in 1787.

Twitter users are taking to the microblogging site to wish each other a happy Australia Day and share their plans for the day's festivities.

Elsewhere on Twitter fans of Nigerian actress Mercy Johnson are buzzing about the star's role in a remix of Ice Prince and Chocolate City's hit song "Aboki." The star-studded remix also includes the talents of Sarkodie, Wizkid, M.I., Khuli Ghana and of course Ice Prince and was produced by Chopstick. 

The actress is causing a buzz despite only having a very minor role in the song itself, stating "Sarkodie I'm married" in response to Sarkodie's on track marriage proposal.
