Lots of flashy new flat screens were launched at CES 2012, but it was LG's 55-inch 3D OLED TV that stole the show. A vast improvement on previous LCD panel displays, it uses four colours (red, green blue and white) in comparison to the RGB setup used by conventional OLED TVs. What does that mean in practice? More lifelike colours, great depth and crystal-clear images that really 'pop' from the screen. LG and Samsung also showed off new smart TV sets, which use apps and other online features to deliver a next-gen viewing experience.
