You Can Now Subscribe to Indonesia’s Top Daily Newspaper on Scoop

Indonesian e-reader startup SCOOP has secured a distribution partnership with arguably Indonesia’s number one national newspaper, Kompas. Now people can read the latest editions of Kompas’ daily newspaper as early as 4am in the morning. And during the promotional period which lasts until March 20th, you can do so for free.

Scoop’s is developed by Apps Foundry. CEO Willson Cuaca commented about what Scoop can offer Kompas with this partnership:

... Apart from simplifying distribution value chain for Kompas, we also help measure reader’s behavior and preference more accurately than before. These are Scoop key value propositions to our publisher partners.

Scoop seems to be doing great in Indonesia. Last month the startup recorded 500,000 downloads and partnered exclusively with local publishing giant Gramedia. The startup also partnered with Thailand’s e-publishing platform Ookbee last year to conduct further knowledge sharing and cross marketing programs.
