Our favourite cosplay pictures of the loyal legions

Following Disney's announcement that it would buy LucasFilm, creators of the incredibly successful Star Wars franchise, loyal fans kept cyberspace buzzing with protests and fears that their favourite galaxy would be changed forever.

Some fans were afraid the storyline would be "spoiled"' with the upcoming Episode VII, to be released by Disney in 2015. Others blamed George Lucas for "selling out" -- to the tune of $4 billion.

So who exactly are these legions of Jedi, Sith and Imperial stormtroopers who are still keeping the Force alive, 35 years after the first Star Wars movie?
