Samsung has recently unveiled its new ATIV series at their 2012 IFA conference in Berlin. Featuring 5 new products, the fresh ATIV line will all showcase Microsoft's upcoming Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 operating systems.

Amongst the new line up is the ATIV Tab, Samsung's very first Windows RT tablet. The new 10.1-inch tablet packs in a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, a 1,366 x 768 HD LCD display, Bluetooth 4.0, a 5-megapixel rear and 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera, as well as micro-HDMI and USB ports. All in, the ATIV tab weighs just 570g and measures 8.9mm thin.

Also part of the new ATIV series is the world's first Windows 8 smartphone, the Samsung ATIV S. Boasting a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED display, the new ATIV Windows 8 smartphone is equipped with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel back camera with LED flash along with a 1.9-megapixel camera in front, Bluetooth 3.0 and comes with either 16 or 32GB of storage space.

Prices and release dates for Samsung's new ATIV products have not been announced, but are expected to debut after Windows 8's official launch in October.
