The wait will soon be over.

The Microsoft Surface RT (with Windows RT) will be available in Singapore come late March 2013, the tech company announced today.

Microsoft lifted the veil off their inaugural tablet in June last year, giving us a glimpse of their latest family of tablets created to show off Microsoft’s new Window 8 operating system experience. The hushed nature of its unveiling left us with many unknowns (such as price and official release dates), creating tremendous buzz and speculation over the ultrabook-like tablet PC.

Taking a leap into a new category of devices, the Surface tablet promises to offer “the best of a tablet and a PC”, said Panos Panay, corporate vice president, Microsoft Surface. The product aims to offer the user both productivity and mobility in a single device, bolstered by the Windows 8 experience.

To get you in the know and all geared up for the Surface tablet’s arrival, here’s a look at what the upcoming device has to offer.
