Lady Gaga's 'Little Monsters' social network opens to the public

The site is a fusion between popular image sharing network Pinterest and Facebook. It was developed by social media platform creator Backplane and aims to unite members through their common interests, passions or industries -- in this case their love of the pop star (aka “Mother Monster”).

The site first launched in invite-only beta in early 2012 and features exclusive content from Lady Gaga.

Backplane claims littlemonsters.com “fills a gap in the current social spectrum by empowering sharing and conversation that is effortless but not automatic.”
