Google+ trends: Windows RT, 'Walking Dead,' fall

On October 26 Microsoft will launch its new, highly anticipated Windows 8 operating system, while on the same day the company will also launch its new tablet the Microsoft Surface -- which runs Windows RT. The confusion over the launch of these two different systems, as highlighted in tech blogs such as The Verge, and IT World, is causing "Windows RT" to trend in third place as Google users struggle to understand the difference.

While Windows 8 and Windows RT look nearly identical on the surface, there are several key differences between the systems. Perhaps the most notable of these differences is the fact that Windows RT will not run any desktop application other than those bundled with it; the only additional programs that can be installed on a tablet using Windows RT are the tablet-optimized apps in Microsoft's app store.  

Also on Google+, users are discussing the latest episode of popular American TV series The Walking Dead, sharing atmospheric images under the hashtag "Moody Monday" and showcasing beautiful images of nature in the fall using "#FallColors."
