Google+ trends: Taylor Swift splits with boyfriend, Cook mocks Surface

Swift, who just dropped her latest album Red on October 22, has spilt with her boyfriend Conor Kennedy according to an October 25 exclusive in Us Weekly.

According to the report a source close to the couple confirmed that the two had "quietly parted ways a while ago," leading Google+ users to spread the news of Swift's heartbreak and speculate on what could be next, romantically speaking, for the singer of "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."

Meanwhile Apple is attracting attention after CEO Tim Cook dismissed Microsoft's new tablet -- the Surface -- stating, "I suppose you could design a car that flies and floats but I don't think it would do all of those things very well," although Cook admits that he has actually yet to try the Surface for himself.
