Google+ trends: 'Skyfall' premiere, Microsoft Surface

Skyfall, the 23rd film in the EON Productions James Bond series, premiered in London on October 23. The film stars Daniel Craig in his third outing as Her Majesty's super suave agent, Javier Bardem as Raoul Silva, the film's main antagonist, and Bérénice Marlohe as "Bond girl" Sévérine.

The plot follows the fallout from an operation gone wrong in Istanbul that leaves Bond missing and presumed dead. After the identities of MI6 agents are then leaked on the internet and the service is attacked, Bond must resurface to save the day.

The premiere in London caused a stir on Google+, with users sharing various theatrical trailers of the movie, pictures of the cast at the premiere and the video of Adele's title song "Skyfall."

Skyfall will be released around the world from October 26.

Also causing a buzz on Google+ is Microsoft's new tablet, the Microsoft Surface. The tablet, which is due to launch on October 26 alongside Microsoft's new operating system Windows 8, has been attracting a mixed set of reviews from media outlets and tech blogs. The tablet has also been the subject of controversy due to consumer confusion between the Windows RT OS, which it supports, and the Windows 8 OS, which it does not.
