Google+ trends: Microsoft debuts Windows Phone 8, Kristen Stewart highest-paid actress in 2012

The high-profile announcement comes a day after Microsoft unveiled its first tablet, the Surface.

Google+ users are discussing the announcements, Microsoft’s future, the smartphone OS war between Google, Apple and Microsoft, and how the Surface fits into the mobile device/ultrabook ecosystem.

A video that juxtaposes Microsoft’s Surface tablet announcement with Steve Jobs’s iPad announcement has gone viral on Google+, as has an image that depicts the “true story of the tablet.”

Twilight actress Kristen Stewart has topped the Forbes highest-paid actresses list in 2012. Forbes said the 22-year-old earns an estimated $12.5 million per film.

During the year ending May 2012 Stewart reportedly earned a whopping $34.5 million. Cameron Diaz ranked second with $34 million for the year and was followed by Sandra Bullock who earned $25 million during the same period.
