
Google+ trends: McDonald's causes buzz with vegetarian outlet
The fast food giant has announced that it will be opening a vegetarian outlet near the Golden Temple in the holy Sikh city of Amritsar in Northern India. The outlet is expected to open in the middle of next year and a second vegetarian outlet is planned to open in the Hindu pilgrimage site of Vaishno Devi in the north-western Kashmir area of India.
McDonald's is also causing a buzz due to its decision to open several outlets in the Siberian region. The plan will see outlets open in "at least ten new locations" in Siberia, the first of which will be in Krasnoyarsk at the end of 2013 or the beginning of 2014.
Also causing a buzz on Google+ is member of British-Irish boy band One Direction Harry Styles. Styles, who uses his middle name "Edwards" as his Google + identity, is taking questions from fans using the hashtag "AskHazza."
Also trending Wednesday is the name of actor Michael Clarke Duncan, star of films such as The Green Mile and Armageddon, who died on September 3 aged just 54. The name of the much admired actor has now been trending on Google+ for two consecutive days.
