Google+ trends: iPhone rumors, Microsoft confirms Yammer acquisition
Microsoft is expected to integrate Yammer’s collaborative technology across productivity products including Office, SharePoint, Dynamics and Skype in the future to enhance its social computing strategy.
Google+ users are questioning if Microsoft spent too much money on the deal while others say they have never heard of the social network.
The social network is still brimming with iPhone rumors. There are reports that shipments of Apple’s iPhone and iPad could be blocked in the US over a 3G wireless patent held by (Google-owned) Motorola Mobility and an article on 9to5mac.com claims that next generation iPhone prototypes feature NFC chips that would enable consumers to make wireless payments.
There’s one day left before Google’s I/O developer event launches and G+’ers are getting excited.
They post, “Killing time until the start of #io12,” “On the way to the airport for #io12#googleio. This is going to be amazing” and “Getting ready for #io12. There are just so many interesting sessions and code labs, it's hard to choose!” and ask their followers, “What announcements would you like to see come out of Google's #io12 this week?”
Photographers are posting amazing photos of trees in their stream for their followers to admire as part of the weekly photo theme #TreeTuesday.
