Google+ trends: Grammys buzz builds with Ed Sheeran Hangout
This year's Grammys, the 55th edition of the event, takes place on February 10 and, as always, honors artists from around the world for their musical contributions across numerous categories such as "Album of the Year," "Best New Artist" and "Best Rock Performance."
With four days to go before the big event Google+ users are already expressing their opinions and predictions for the event, trending "#GRAMMYs" in first place.
One of the most buzzed artists under the hashtag "GRAMMYs" is singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran; the reason for his popularity in Google+ Wednesday stems from a Hangout (live video web chat on the site) he conducted via official user +TheGrammys and blogger Arjan Writes.
The Hangout with the singer, who is up for a nomination for his song "A Team" in the category "Song Of The Year," attracted 2582 people and can be streamed on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHo2OrRm74w&feature=youtu.be
