Google+ trends: Galaxy Nexus, Apple, iPhone

On September 12 Apple unveiled its next gen iPhone, the iPhone 5, which is significantly thinner, lighter and with a bigger display than its predecessor, the iPhone 4S. While the phone has generally been well received, Google+ users, whom in could be argued have a bias towards Google, Android and open source OS, have been openly mocking the device and its creators Apple.

Google+ users such as Sham Hardy have been posting popular "inspiration" memes mocking the new iPhone's slightly larger design, while others such as JR Raphael are refuting Apple's claims regarding the iPhone 5's being the thinnest smartphone on the market.

Also causing a buzz today on Google+ is the Galaxy Nexus 4G. The device on the US carrier Sprint is now able to be upgraded to Android 4.1 or "Jelly Bean" after delays in rolling out the update. The Galaxy Nexus 4G is one of the first devices to receive the Jelly Bean update along with the Motorola Xoom.
