Whether it’s intended or not, we’re not sure, but this morning’s second US Presidential Debate did not disappoint, as both Barack Obama and Mitt Romney engaged in a no-holds-barred, full-frontal verbal battle.

The incumbent was looking to deliver a counterpunch after an uncharacteristic showing a fortnight ago in the opening debate.

Topics at the town hall included jobs, women, China and the Benghazi attack, but Twitter activity went far beyond those, in an election that has broken all prior records on social media.
