Agreements on many counts between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, but still enough fodder for some quick-witted tweets
The kind of controversy from last week did not spill into this morning’s third and final US Presidential Debate as Twitterers noted how a supposed verbal contest turned into agreements on many counts between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.
That was still enough fodder for quick-witted tweets, just like how flashpoints from previous debates resurfaced, often hilariously.
The debate at Florida’s Lynn University was themed around foreign policy and moderated by 75 years old CBS journalist Bob Schieffer.
President Obama came out much like he did in the second debate, energized and attacking, clearly different from his tepid performance in the first. The challenger at times seemed out of depth with foreign affairs, but supporters believe less is more, and that the incumbent’s personal attacks would work against him.
CNN’s poll of the debate’s outcome gave victory to Obama. He received 48% compared to his opponent’s 40%.
On Twitter, lots of humorous attention on, as usual, Romney’s campaign behavior and the new online sensation, the moderator.
