Fans of Lady Gaga, known as "Little Monsters," are busy celebrating Gaga's new follower milestone: the most-followed peson on Twitter recently hit 32 million followers and is already at 32,007,192. Teen pop star Justin Bieber follows closely behind, now claiming 31,323,783 followers on the microblogging site.

Twitter users are also buzzing about the breaking news that Delta Air Lines is to buy a 49% stake in Virgin Atlantic. As part of the deal, the two will offer a "combined trans-Atlantic network between the United Kingdom and North America with 31 peak-day round-trip flights" as well as nine daily round-trip flights from London-Heathrow to JFK and Newark airports and reciprocal frequent flyer benefits.

Reactions are mixed, with many wary of the possible effects on customers. UK PR professional Zena Martin @zenamonique writes "Well, let's hope that Virgin has a positive branding and service effect on Delta vs. the other way around:-S," while Jeffrey M Epstein @jeffreyinmotion, publisher at Best Loved Hotels in the UK, asks, "Please tell me how Delta's 49% stake in Virgin Atlantic will improve the Virgin customer experience?" and Jeff Sepeta @jsepeta comments "there goes the neighborhood. not a fan."

Meanwhile, Australian Business Traveller @AusBT wonders, "With the Delta deal done, is Virgin Atlantic a step closer to joining the SkyTeam alliance?"
