Wannabe racing drivers and car fans have reason to celebrate - Forza Motorsport 4 was released on October 11 in the US, and on October 14 across Europe.

Offering more cars, new tracks, Kinect playability and even an appearance from Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson, Forza4 is sure to be a hit.

We experienced a hands-on preview at none other than Top Gear's 'secret' test track in Surrey. Forza 4's makers, Turn 10, have teamed up with Top Gear to replicate the Dunsfold track in delicious, pixelated detail.

We tried the Kia Cee'd on the virtual track and can attest that, while this humble hatch might lack the necessary horsepower to set your hair on fire, it is tricky to master the track. You'll be glued to the edge of your seat for hours trying to wipe seconds off your time.

Clarkson has loaned his voice to Forza 4. In the new Autovista mode, you will be able to examine some of the more spectacular cars in all their glory and, if you've got Kinect, virtually walk around the car while Clarkson offers his opinion of it. You can even use this in-game to look out of the side windows as you drive.

Back on the Top Gear track, you'll also be able to drive all the other cars of the game. All the latest new supercars will make an appearance, as well as a few past masters: the line-up includes such high-profile additions as the Ferraris FF and 458 Italia and the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento. There are expected to be more than 500 cars in total.

Here is just a small selection of the cars to expect...
