With a little help from GM's Advanced Projects Studio, American broadcaster Jay Leno and his mechanic, Bernard Juchli, modified a Corvette to prove eco-friendly cars don't all have to look like a Prius. Leno, a self-proclaimed car nut, had the body specially made from carbon fibre and then mid-mounted a Honeywell LT-101 turbine engine which runs on biodiesel fuel. The end result is the EcoJet, which can produce 650bhp and boasts a top speed of 200mph.
