“Batmobile Number 1” was based on a one-off 1955 Lincoln Futura prototype, so it was special in real life, too. Weighing in at a hefty 2,041kg Batman’s ride got a 6.4-litre Ford V8 but also had a rear-mounted turbine, which could power the car for up to 15 seconds.
