Batman’s first Batmobile

Batman’s first-ever Batmobile wasn’t actually all that special. He was first referenced driving in Detective Comics #27 in May 1939 – and so the legend was born. Although it was simply referred to as “his car” and was a boring old saloon, it soon began to gather more bat motifs and get rather more radical.
