Peugeot's historic reputation for building involving, fun and fast hatchbacks has been suffering over the past two generations. However, the new Peugeot 208 GTi should hopefully change things: a 1,160kg kerb weight, 200hp and particular attention paid to the steering response, the chassis dynamics and the rigidity of the suspension should see to that.
