The MP4-28 is not the finished article. Like all Formula One teams McLaren is in an ongoing development process. Managing Director Jonathan Neale explained that “We expect our development rate to see us taking a tenth and a half of a second to each race. This is already not the fastest car we can make and we know the car we take to Barcelona will be quicker”.
