Hopes are high for the 2013 F1 season

Formula One car design is always dictated to a great extent by Formula one regulations but with the FIA resisting the urge to take a hatchet to the rulebook for the 2013 season, McLaren had the option of tweaking last season’s car.

According the Martin Whitmarsh, they didn’t take it. “The regulations have stayed relatively static with only evolutionary changes so we asked, do we evolve the car or be braver? We chose to be brave and have made lots of changes.”
