Waiting patiently until the inevitable Focus ST-challenging Dart SRT? The 2013 GT trim will be the closest thing yet. Using the loaded Limited spec as a start, the GT uses the most powerful Dart engine yet, the 184-horsepower MultiAir2 Tigershark 2.4-litre four-cylinder with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. Other performance tweaks include multi-amplitude dampers and 18-inch wheels, while visually, the GT gets a different front fascia and dual exhaust. The interior benefits from the 8.4-inch uConnect touch-screen, leather everything and all the toys. U.S. pricing starts at $20,995 (S$25,750) and production is expected for mid-2013.
