Detroit Motor Show 2013: What we're most excited to see

General Motors' new cash cows are completely redesigned for 2014, with stronger chassis, revised suspensions and, most importantly, a trio of heavily tweaked engines. A 4.3-litre V6 and V8s in 5.3- and 6.2-litre displacements will all feature direct injection, revised cylinder heads, higher compression ratios and cylinder deactivation. Six-speed automatics are the sole transmission choice. The style is more evolution, though, with bigger, more upright stances, and conservative touches. The interior is unabashedly designed to work, meaning big dials, larger controls and fewer luxury touches, but there will be plenty of available safety and convenience technology to drive up the profit margins.
