The future of car audio is 3D surround sound, and the extra dimension comes in the form of high-level speakers. Fitted into a vehicle'€™s headliner above the front and rear seats, they enhance the listening experience.

Audi used the CES to reveal its first system to feature the technology, which it has developed in conjunction with expert supplier Bang & Olufsen. The 23-speaker set-up was installed in a Q7 SUV, with Audi'€™s top brass revealing it will make its production debut in that car'€™s replacement, due next year, as an optional extra.
