10. Sony KDL-40HX723

Sony's 3D TV fortunes in 2011 have been decidedly mixed. But the 40-inch KDL-40HX723 is one of the 'good guys', combining clean, colourful, natural full HD 3D playback with one of Sony's best 2D LCD pictures to date. It also benefits immensely from Sony's excellent Bravia Internet Video online service, with its healthy focus on providing lots of free streaming video content. It's a bit expensive, but can be found fairly heavily discounted if you look around.
