The Solowheel is an electric, self-balancing unicycle that controls much like a Segway, just without the handlebars. As such it'll take a few attempts to master, but once you've got it down, it's one of the most compact modes of electric transport out there. A single charge from the mains will take you around 12 miles at speeds of up to 12 miles per hour - though it 'recapture' energy from going downhill to get you that little bit further.
