Apple fans, hold onto your wallets. Currently on sale on eBay is an original prototype Apple Mac - a beige chunk of computing history that's described as the "world's oldest known complete Mac" and comes with a starting price of, wait for it, a cool S$125,000.

At that price, perhaps it's no surprise that this low-tech, high-cost computer is yet to snag a bid. However, if you're a computer collector with deep pockets, don't hang about. The listing ends just before 10am on Wednesday morning.

Unfortunately, a quick search through our cupboards failed to turn up anything to rival this $100,000 Mac. But the listing got us thinking. What are the chances of finding some hidden gems tucked away in that half-forgotten tech stash in the loft? Check out these super-rare retro gadgets - if you're holding onto one you could be set to cash in!
