MWC 2013: Asus

Asus has taken the prize for ‘weirdest MWC teaser’ already thanks to its ‘Metallic Miracle’ viral video that sees a spaceship land and slot in with Barcelona’s famous Sagrada Família.

It’s widely assumed that this is a nod towards another iteration of the Asus PadFone – a smartphone with docking skills that has failed to take off in the past.  The PadFone is a smartphone that slots into a tablet shell – giving you the best of both worlds.

The suggestion is that the 2013 model will come packing the latest hardware and there’s even a suggestion that it could be a Windows-based setup.

The Asus press conference is on Monday, so it won’t be long before we know for sure.
