MWC 2013: Nokia

Nokia stole the show at MWC 2012 with the 41-megapixel PureView 808. However, the PureView hardly set the world alight when it came to sales.

This time round though we could see Nokia doing what it does best, i.e. Windows Phone 8, combined with the super camera-tech afforded by the PureView platform. We wouldn’t be at all surprised to see a new flagship camera-phone launching from the Finnish company.

We may also see a Nokia Windows RT tablet land. Earlier this month, at a Nokia event in Pakistan to launch the Lumia 620 handset, there was a brief glimpse of a Nokia Windows tablet on the big screen. Could it be that Nokia is ready to take on Microsoft’s Surface? We’ll find out on Monday, when Nokia’s press event takes place.

Finally, as well as a couple of very low-end Nokia Asha handsets, we should see two more entrants to the company’s ever-expanding Windows Phone portfolio courtesy of the low-end Nokia 520 and the mid-level Nokia 720.
