How to watch Google’s I/O developers conference live on the web
This year Google will be streaming the entire opening keynote, second day’s keynote and all key technical sessions at https://developers.google.com/events/io/io-live.
More than 40 selected talks from I/O can be streamed as they take place via a web browser or on your smartphone or tablet. Catchup videos from all talks at I/O will also be available to watch after 24 hours.
“Bookmark developers.google.com/io to watch I/O Live from your desktop, or download the Google I/O mobile app to access the live stream from your phone or tablet,” said Mike Winton, director of Developer Relations at Google. “For the truly entrepreneurial, check our liveblogging gadget, which lets you add your commentary and the live video feed from the Google I/O keynotes to your blog.”
The liveblogging gadget is a new tool designed by Google that lets you post your own live commentary of the event as it happens in real time. The liveblogging widget can be customized and embedded on your own website. For more tips on how to use the gadget visit Google’s FAQ.
In 2012 the event will feature more than 130 talks on Android, Chrome, Google+ and App Engine, plus Code Labs, a Hackathon and Developer Hangouts (live video chats).
Google I/O runs June 27-29 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA, USA. Similar developer events include Apple’s WWDC, BlackBerry World and Nokia World.
