Premier audio production brand Denon has launched its latest series of lifestyle-oriented headphones as well as its new Cocoon family range of speaker docks in its first ever showcase in Singapore .
The latest collection features integrated controls and microphones on all new models for control of the Apple mobile devices, with Bluetooth 3.0 wireless connectivity for the Globe Cruiser and Exercise Freak ranges.
With more than 10 additions to the line, we picked out five that we’ve taken a particular interest in.
Music Maniac
The Music Maniac range is targeted towards traditional audiophiles who place the highest importance on acoustic purity and audio quality. Their artisan model is the crown jewel of Denon's headphone line, and the build of it definitely lives up to expectations; solid mahogany cups framed by a glass fiber reinforced composite that is sturdy and light. This series is tuned to a Flat EQ for a truly transparent tonal experience, and comes in three models, including an in-ear model.
The Music Maniac Artisan AHD7100 model retails for S$1,699 and will be available through Denon authorized dealers early this August.
Globe Cruiser
Drown out the distractions of the outside world with Denon’s Globe Cruiser range, which is designed for business travelers . With its exceptional noise canceling ability, it's a necessity for the frequent traveler. The Globe Cruiser headphones aren’t just equipped to enable productivity while on-the-go, they also provide superior audio for your listening pleasure.
The Globe Cruiser AHNCW500 in Black or Silver will be available from mid-September at S$699.
Urban Raver
A third lifestyle category -- Urban Raver, features models skewed towards the younger music lover who listens to genres of music that sport a heavier emphasis on bass. These models are professionally tuned to give listeners a rabble-rousing bass performance and enhanced treble.
The Urban Raver AHD400 model retails at S$599 and will be available through Denon authorized dealers from early August.

Denon Cocoon Home
"Made to Touch All Senses" is the tagline for these charming organically cocoon-shaped devices. Great to look at and a thrill to listen to, these speaker docks combine award-winning style, intuitive control, and Denon’s renowned sound quality to bring us two delightful high-end pieces.
Effortless and distinctive, it has built-in audio sources like internet radio and the ability to play a wide range of audio formats. The smaller portable member of the Cocoon Family has a rechargeable li-ion battery that gives you up to five hours of play time, and comes with an ergonomic remote control that ingeniously stows away in the back of the device. The retractable dock-tray on the Cocoon Portable takes this device to another level of streamlined perfection. Refreshing and intelligent, Denon’s unique Cocoon Family speaker docks are the perfect addition to any stylish or contemporary home.
The Cocoon Portable is available in Black for S$799, and will be available from mid-August.
