Sina Weibo app gets online shopping update
The update brings the app up to version 3.0 on the iOS app and brings the ‘Nearby goods' feature into the ‘discover tab,' meaning that users of the app can browse and purchase items from sellers close to each user's physical location using China's eBay-type site Taobao.
Users of the app who choose to purchase goods can do so using e-commerce site Taobao's secure online payment system Alipay.
Twitter recently announced the launch of branded pages allowing certain brands to control the message, logos and taglines Twitter users first see when visiting the brand's microblogging webpage.
