In October 2012, Japanese mountaineer Nobukazu Kuriki tweeted his ascent of Mount Everest. On 17 October he sent the message: "I've left 7500m camp for Everest summit push on 10:30pm JST. It's really cold, dark and like space. I can only see stars." He didn't make it to the top because of extreme winds and frostbite.
