The Symphony In B, from John Crane Ltd, is a musical toy for children. The toy allows children to create their own orchestra, and then conduct their own symphony, using the 13 different instruments provided.

To create their own compositions, children simply pick from one of the 15 classical melodies available then move the respective instrument into the orchestra plinth; so for example when the child moves the toy tuba onto the plinth the tuba starts playing, same for strings and the other toy instruments provided.

If the child selects a toy instrument that is not meant to be in the classical melody they have chosen then it simply doesn't "play."

Symphony In B was given the PTPA (Parent Tested Parent Approved) seal of approval, winning gold in the prestigious 2012 PTPA Parents' Choice toy awards.

The Toy Fair, organized by the British Toy and Hobby Association (BTHA), now in its 60th edition, features over 250 companies and thousands of products. The event also honors those in the industry who have made outstanding contributions to their field in the "Industry Awards."

In early February top toys for 2013 will also be on display at the Toy Fair New York (February 10-13) which hosts over 25,000 attendees from countries around the globe.
