What to expect from Ubisoft's E3 presentation

Ubisoft has confirmed action games Assassin's Creed III and Far Cry 3, platforming delight Rayman Legends and music tutor Rocksmith -- not yet released outside North America -- as central to this year's Expo efforts.

Assassin's Creed III is one of this year's heavyweights, locked in for retail release on August 30, while Far Cry 3 is looking to bring a little idosyncracy to the big-budget first-person shooter.

Deft footwork will be needed as Ubisoft seeks to make the best of its own stage time without stepping on the toes of Nintendo, whose Wii U spectacular isn't scheduled until eighteen hours later.

Still, there are some obvious (though unannounced) candidates for Wii U excursions, such as a Just Dance 4 or Your Shape: Fitness Evolved.

There's also a good chance that Splinter Cell 6, due an official announcement, will feature in some capacity -- the first game from Ubisoft's new Toronto studio, headed up by experienced Assassin's Creed producer Jade Raymond.

Ubisoft's E3 presentation starts at 3pm Los Angeles time on June 4, which is 11am BST, 12 noon in Central Europe, and 7am in Tokyo.
