PSN Play promo elevates 'Counter-Strike,' 'Expendables 2,' 'Papo & Yo,' 'Sound Shapes'

As outlined by the US PlayStation website, the four games will be action movie tie-in The Expendables 2, delightful musical platformer Sound Shapes, touchingly allegorical puzzle game Papo & Yo, and full-on multiplayer shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

The Expendables 2 will be released on July 31 and the others on August 7, August 14, and August 21 respectively.

Each goes for $14.99, with PlayStation Plus subscribers eligible for a 20 percent discount that brings the price down to $11.99.

Purchasing two games results in $3 PlayStation Store credit, three gives $6, and those who snag all four benefit from a $10 bonus.

Sound Shapes stands as the lone PlayStation Vita game while the other three are for the PlayStation 3.

In this way, Sony can use PSN Play to gently remind gamers of the handheld Vita, in the same way that Microsoft's Summer of Arcade highlights a motion-controlled Kinect title.

PlayStation's European branch has not yet announced an equivalent pricing, although 2011's promotion was identical, with games coming out one day later and generally sticking to a €12.99 / £9.99 price point.
