Master Chief is back.

Halo 4, the latest installment in the highly-popular shooter game, is launching today.

It heralds the start of a new trilogy in the series and is the first full Halo game since 2007.

Halo 4 takes a closer look at main protagonist Master Chief’s humanity-saving exploits, handing him new environments, weapons, alien enemies, and personal challenges to deal with.

Having grossed over $3 billion worldwide, the saga’s newest addition should prove to be a hit.

The launch event at Funan DigitaLife Mall runs until 8pm tonight, with the game retailing at $69 ($99 for the limited edition). Also happening there is an endurance deathmatch using the latest Halo 4 multiplayer maps.

Elsewhere, there are other contests for Spartans at Unite to Dew and Xfriends Championships.
