'Need for Speed: Most Wanted' launch trailer: urban antics abound

Soundtracked by the Heaven's Basement track "I Am Electric" and brandishing praise plucked from two glowing previews and a 9/10 review, Need for Speed: Most Wanted's launch trailer showcases its professed strengths: high velocity runs, police chases, online buffoonery, and soaring jumps over a city playground.

The Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3 game launches in North America on October 30, in Australasia on November 1, and in European regions from November 2.

Then there are accompanying versions on PlayStation Vita as well as iOS and Android planned for release at the same time, while a Wii U version is to follow in 2013.

Most Wanted is one of a clutch of racing games to release at around the same time. Forza Horizon got a headstart with its Xbox 360 release the previous week, while November plays host to a trio of arcade-focused racers in LittleBigPlanet Karting, F1 Race Stars and Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing.
