Latest trailer for 'Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs': Hell-pig is coming for you
Set along the same lines as 2010 breakout success Amnesia: The Dark Descent, late 2012's A Machine For Pigs puts players in the shoes of an apparently amiable man awakening in unfamiliar and increasingly uncomfortable confines.
Upon release, the carefully constructed Amnesia: The Dark Descent swiftly gained a reputation as a contemporary Resident Evil or Silent Hill, often exceeding them for its ability to generate raw fear.
This latest trailer's display of improved graphics and both indoor and outdoor environments indicates that developer thechineseroom has some new ideas to inject into A Machine for Pigs.
Teaming the Dear Esther studio with one of PC gaming's most revered names in horror gameplay might not seem like an obvious choice, but thechineseroom's previous experiments with the rule-breaking Doom 3 modification Conscientious Objector and terrifying Half-Life 2 mod Korsakovia lend considerable creedence to the project.
Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is expected to arrive by October 31, Halloween 2012.
