'KickBeat' music combat game announced by pinball series developer
Having completed Pinball FX and its sequel for Xbox 360 and Zen Pinball for 3DS PS3 and Vita, and rolled out Marvel Pinball across a multitude of consoles and handhelds, one might expect Zen Studios to continue mining the same rich vein.
But, as with Planet Minigolf in 2010, Zen is trying something different, and KickBeat -- due sometime this year -- attempts to pair the frantic precision of a Beatmania title with a demonstration of fighting finesse.
The game comes with 18 tracks to start with but can create new levels out of players' own music library, putting it in the company of level-generating fare such as Vib Ribbon, Audiosurf, and Beat Hazard.
